A hearing test is a painless set of checks that measures how well you hear different pitches and volumes, and how clearly you understand speech. Results are usually plotted on an audiogram and discussed with you the same day, so you understand your hearing rather than only receiving a number.
A hearing assessment is the starting point for almost every hearing question. It gives you an objective picture of how you hear today, a reference point for the future, and a clear conversation about whether anything needs attention.

Additional checks such as middle-ear measurements where appropriate
A calm explanation of your audiogram and what it means in everyday situations
What to expect afterwards
You leave with your results explained in plain language and a clear next step — which may be simply retesting in future, ear care, a referral to a medical specialist, or a conversation about hearing technology. Nothing is decided for you in the room.
